Happy Sunday! I hope you have some relaxing plans set for today.
Yesterday, Alex and I drove an hour to meet his friend at the beach. It was really fun! The weather was beautiful and the beach was not that crowded which was nice. We were able to have our own area without feeling like people were on top of us.
When we first sat in the beah chairs, we saw some dolphins swimming not too far offshore. I didn’t even realize dolphins swam this far north so I was excited to see them. I tried getting a picture but couldn’t 😦
I started a new book called “Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule” by Jennifer Chiaverini. I’ve read two of her books before and really enjoy them! This one is a historical fiction novel about Mrs. Grant and the relationship she has with her slave Jule. I’m about 100 pages in and can’t wait to see what happens once the Civil War starts.
Around 4pm, we started to get sick of the sun and water and decided to grab a drink at a local bar called The Parker House. The place was so crowded I was shocked! Fun fact, this is the place where Alex’s parents met. It was nice to grab a cold drink before heading home for the day in an air conditioned room.
Have a great day 🙂
