Yesterday started out like any other with work. Normally I have overnight oats or a scrambled egg for breakfast but instead I had a bagel. There’s a bagel place near the apartment that sends out coupons that are buy a certain amount get so many free. Alex and I will use of of them and freeze the bagels so that we have a few on hand at all times.
The weather forecast called for some rain in the afternoon but luckily it didn’t happen! I had a speed workout on the schedule so I ran at a local park and it felt good, hot but good! I was a sweaty mess when I got home but my legs felt great. Does any one else put their legs up on a wall after running? I feel like it helps me but maybe it’s all in my head!
Before hearing up leftovers for dinner, I read on the couch. I started “Reconstructing Amelia” by Kimberly McCreight Sunday and am over halfway done with it already! I highly recommend it. “Reconstructing Amelia” is about Kate’s journey to figure out her daughter Amelia after it she kills herself. There are some plot turns that I didn’t see coming and I think the ending will be interesting. Dinner was some Italian sausage, roasted potatoes and broccoli.
Monday is quickly turning into movie night in out apartment! We started “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” once Alex finished his homework. My movie snack of choice for the evening was lots of watermelon and iced tea. I probably ate close to half of the watermelon yesterday since it was also my post run snack. Since it’s mostly water it’s definitely healthy 😉
