One Of Those Days

Yesterday was just one of those days. It seemed like anything that could go wrong did. Work was less than stellar. With 45 minutes left at work, I spilled my full water bottle all over my desk and floor. The puddle on the floor is what I picture when a pregnant woman’s water breaks.


I always run after work so I did my 30 minutes. With no pace goals I ran what felt comfortable and I stayed at about a 9:45ish pace which felt good. My post run snack was a juicy peach that was quite tasty. I actually don’t remember if I’ve ever had a peach until Saturday when my parents had some from a farm stand they had stopped at. Apparently I like peaches, who knew!


For dinner we had leftovers. I made myself a taco plus a few chips and salsa. After dinner I made my breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. As I was putting away items, I knocked over our salt grinder which broke. So I was barefoot in the kitchen with glass on the ground. Alex had to pick me up so I didn’t step on it. Once we cleaned it up everything was okay.


I got a foam roller delivered and my lord is it painful. Since I’ve only randomly used one I forgot how much they hurt. Luckily I didn’t have knee pain during my run so I’m hoping with more foam rolling and icing it’ll be back to normal in a few days.


Later in the night, Alex’a friend Andrew stopped by. After the day I had I knew it was a wine night. I had a glass of Chardonnay before going to bed. I did a little work on the computer plus some Pinterest scrolling. Over the weekend, I made a blog Pinterest page so feel free to follow me! I will be updating it more since I love Pinterest.

Even though yesterday wasn’t the best day, it’s okay. It was one day. I’m going to have a positive attitude today and hope it’s better 🙂

  1. Ahh one of those days.. I definitely have them quite often haha. Glad you got through it though, and definitely good idea with the wine 😉

    When I have a bad day I sign up for an evening yoga class. It definitely helps me de-stress and clear my mind!

    1. Wine was a must last night haha. I haven’t done yoga but I want to get into it! I tried doing it at home last weekend but I felt like I wasn’t doing something right. I need to look into a local yoga studio.

  2. I have those days too! Have you heard that bad things come in threes?
    Great job on your run! And keep up the foam rolling, it sucks but it’s worth it 🙂
    Running helps me tremendously when I’m having a bad day…long walks, reading, and ice cream are good too.

    1. I don’t think I’ve heard bad things come in threes…hopefully I’ll be lucky and the third won’t come 😉 Foam rolling is a love/hate relationship but it is what it is and definitely helpful. I finished “Sharp Objects” last night and even though I figured out what would happen I liked how the author got to that point. Reading is definitely something that helps me with bad days plus how can you not smile when you get some ice cream right?!
