Trivia Night

Happy hump day! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day 🙂

Work was pretty typical yesterday. I got added onto a monthly conference call that’s from 12:00 – 1:30 so I ate lunch much later than normal. I was so hungry by the time I ate! It’s crazy how much your body gets used to a schedule. Even though it was nice to finish eating and only have 2 hours left in the work day, I will have to have a mid-morning snack on the first Tuesday of the month or the conference call will just be my stomach grumbling ha!

When I got home from work, I changed and headed out for another 2 mile run. This one was just some surges thrown in and with a 9:01 pace I was pretty happy. Even though it was only 2 miles, I was SO sweaty (I’ll spare you the picture I took ;). The feels like temperature is in the high 90s again this week in New Jersey. After my run I just drank a bunch of water while stretching.

Dinner was pulled pork sandwiches with roasted potatoes and broccoli. I threw a pork tenderloin and some Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce in my little crockpot before work and set it to low. It was pretty tempting to try it after my run from the smell alone. Barbecue is one of my favorite types of food so I was glad the recipe came out so tasty.

I read some more of my book on the couch before and after dinner. Finally it was time to go to trivia. There is a bar really close to our apartment (literally across the street) so I’m not going to give you the name for safety reasons. But if you’re looking for a fun date night during the week see if any local bars do trivia! I know there’s a few in towns near us as well that will do it. One of Alex’s friends met us there.

Trivia was so fun! The person that runs it lets you get double points for one round so we picked the advertising mascots as our round to double. There were 5 rounds with 10 + 1 bonus question each. The topics were state mottos, advertising mascots, comedians, make and model, and general knowledge. We were doing really well until the last round. The topic was general knowledge but the questions were hard! They didn’t seem like that much general knowledge to me. I’m glad we went and hope we go again soon!

Question of the day: Do you like trivia?

    1. I wasn’t that much help with most questions haha. It was fun. Definitely see if anywhere does it by you! In my hometown in Chicago, there’s two places that have trivia during the week. I think it’s becoming more popular.
      Have a great day 🙂

  1. I love trivia! We used to go all the time and I got super competitive! I’m really into board games too 🙂
I love/hate BBQ – I always end up getting sick of it in the summer cause we eat it so much! I’m ready for a BBQ break.
    Have a great day!

    1. I love board games! I’m excited for the fall so my boyfriend and I can have game nights again.
I get that way with BBQ sometimes too. I haven’t had it that much this summer so I’m trying to get as much as I can before summer ends.
Thanks Erinn, have a great day as well 🙂
