Happy Friday! Who else is excited for the weekend?? Alex has a date planned for us so if every can send happy thoughts so it doesn’t rain tomorrow, I’d be very grateful. Have a great day 🙂
I got home from work yesterday and read my book for a little bit. I’m still reading “A Friend of Mr. Lincoln”. While I really enjoy the book, historical fiction tends to take me a little longer to read. It’s a refreshing change after reading one book on Sunday. I FaceTimed my cousin (hi Shelby!) for about an hour before I made dinner.
Made dinner was used loosely last night since it was just leftovers. I personally enjoy leftovers. For me, it takes away from having to cook a new meal every day. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love to cook. Cooking and baking are some of my favorite things to do in the world. But for my sanity, I meal plan leftovers for at least one dinner a night. My plate had some roasted potatoes and crispy onion chicken.
After dinner my mom called me back so I talked to her for a bit. She told me that for my Grandpa’s birthday party (he’s turning 80) all of us are going to dress up like him. I’m having a little too much fun thinking of different ways I can dress.
When I hung up, I got everything together to finally make returns to Nordstrom. I have a huge pile sitting in the bedroom that was driving Alex nuts and starting to bother me. The closest Nordstrom to us is 30 minutes away and I didn’t really feel like going so I ended up packing everything in a box to send back. In case you didn’t know, Nordstrom accepts multiple shipments and multiple orders in the same box for returns. How convenient since some orders come in multiple boxes. So I was going to go out but then I didn’t since convenience won.
The rest of the night was spent on the couch reading and drinking a lot of water. Around 9 I got super silly for some reason. I was dancing like a weirdo and quoting movie scenes. Does that happen to anyone else on occasion? I got ready for bed and read a little more to wind down before turning the light off.
Question of the day: What’s your favorite song right now? I have a long run today and would love some music suggestions!
