Happy Sunday! I’m checking in after a fun and interesting Saturday. Have a great day friends 🙂
Saturday started off with a 4 mile run.To fuel the run I had a piece of toast and peanut butter and got ready while I let it digest. The heat and humidity made the run feel harder than it should have been. During runs like these I just remember that pushing through helps to make you a better runner!
When I got home, I was hungry and thirsty. I grabbed some grapes and water to enjoy while I stretched. My legs felt tight in a way during the run which makes me assume that foam rolling needs to become a part of my routine instead of something I do when I remember. After a quick shower, I headed to the grocery store to pick up food for the week.
I got home and put the food away then realized I was hungry. Something about walking around a grocery store makes me hungry, even after I eat a full meal. I made myself a ham sandwich to enjoy with strawberries that I picked up as well. Don’t the strawberries look good?? I didn’t plan on buying them but I walked passed the display and they were calling my name.
My nails desperately needed to be painted so I put on “Gilmore Girls” while I painted them. I picked this pinky-coral color and love it! I wanted to get one more bright color on my nails before fall comes so I’m hoping chips don’t come for a few days. Fun fact, I actually hate when my nails are chipped and will probably try to fill in the chips for a few days.
Alex’s grandparents invited his family to their country club in Pennsylvania for dinner so I threw on a dress and we left. They live about an hour away and the area is beautiful. Picture gorgeous houses and rolling hills. So dang pretty! I didn’t take a picture of my meal since I didn’t want to be weird at their club but I had a caesar salad to start and filet mignon for my entree. It was so good and I was pretty full by the time we left.
We drove for a while in the woods near the country club but about 2 minutes away from our apartment, a deer ran out in front of the car and we hit it. Thank god it was the second of two deer so Alex had taken his foot of the break and managed to slow down but we still hit it. We got out to make sure there was no damage to the car (we were both completely okay) and if there wasn’t some deer hair on the front you would never believe we hit the deer. When we got home, we were pretty tired so we watched a little tv in bed before falling asleep.
Question of the day: Have you ever hit an animal?
