Happy Wednesday! Halfway to the weekend. Have a great day 🙂
Getting out of bed was not fun yesterday morning. I probably got about 6 hours of sleep and I normally get 7-8 so it was slow to get up. Luckily leftover waffles from Sunday’s made for an quick breakfast plus I blended up a smoothie. Given out slow I was to get up, I managed to get out the door on time.
Tuesday’s weather was rain basically all day. It would occasionally stop but then start up shortly after. I considered pushing my run back again but it was one of those days where I needed to get out of the house to clear my head. Karma really got me for moving my run back a day weather wise. The temperature was in the low 60s and with rain I didn’t want to be cold. That meant I had to break out a long sleeve shirt in August. *cries* Even in the rain I’m so glad I did it. 3 miles total and the rain didn’t bother me one bit. I came home with a clear head which was the whole reason I went out. Running is great therapy when I need to think things through.
For dinner we made chicken ceasar salad. This is such an easy dinner to make! We just thawed chicken from the freezer while at work, put on garlic powder, pepper and salt then grilled it. The only other work required was adding veggies to our big bowl of salad that’s always in our fridge.
During lunch at work I finished “Secret Daughter”. I could see how this story could affect a lot of women since it deals with adoption and mother-daughter bonds. If you like a story that will tug at your heart strings read this! I had every intention of reading more last night but that didn’t happen.
Alex and I sat on the couch and just wanted to veg out a bit so we watched two episodes of “Burn Notice”. In between the episodes I decided to make eggless cookie dough for one. It’s basically a scaled down recipe of chocolate chip cookies minus the egg. I kind of want to try to see if there’s a way to make it healthier. If I experiment and find something good I will share it with you all! The snack was good but I’m going to try not to have anything sweet until this weekend now.
I started to get tired at the end of the second episode. Alex was jokingly making fun of me for that since it wasn’t even 9:30 and I joked back that I was going to bed. Then I took a little nap on the couch. Luckily Alex woke me up pretty quick so I didn’t sleep on the couch all night. I got in bed and was asleep before 10. After two late nights I was a happy camper to be in bed early!
Question of the day: What was the high from your Tuesday? I want to know!
