Low Key Afternoon

Hello and happy Thursday! How are you all? It feels like the week goes by faster since I started blogging. I’m not complaining though, I love the Friday feeling we will have tomorrow. Have a good day ๐Ÿ™‚

I woke up Wednesday morning SO tired. It was probably a combination of going to bed over an hour later than normal and drinking an extra glass of wine than I typically would during the week. Once I got moving it was okay but it took a while to get up. Once I was ready, I made some breakfast for myself. I quickly scrambled an egg then paired it with an apple that weย picked.

For lunch, I went with my normal peanut butter sandwich. I’m pretty sure this is one food item I will never get sick of. When I say I’ve eaten it 98.3% of my lunches during school and work, I’m not kidding.

After work, I got home and cut myself some cheese for a snack. Cheese and crackers is honesty one of my favorite snacks and I have to put the exact amount that I want onto a plate or I’ll mindlessly eat it. I wanted to put on a show to watch while I did some things around the house. I picked “Big Little Lies” and it was on all night. It was in the background when I was doing everything. I love it! I’m already on episode 4 which is kind of sad but I was watching it during chores so it’s not as bad right?!

For dinner, I heated up leftover buffalo chicken and potato casserole. I was a little nervous about having it but it was good. It was just as good and the flavors may have even been more pronounced than it was when I made it Sunday.

Once I ate, I got on the couch to sit and relax for a few minutes. Alex got home really late so after we talked for a bit, I hopped in bed and read more of my book. It was a very low key afternoon but I got a lot done around the house which felt good. Even though I was tired, it took me forever to fall asleep. I don’t know why! I’m hoping I don’t have a flare up of insomnia, not sure if that is a thing or not but it feels like it could be.

Question of the day: Did you watch and or read “Big Little Lies”? So far, I like the book better but let me know your thoughts!

  1. I read Big Little Lies and LOVED it so much! Then I started the show and couldn’t finish it because the characters were SO different than how I pictured them and it drove me crazy.

Cheese and crackers is one of my favorite snacks ever!

    1. I definitely didn’t picture some of the characters as the way they are in the show but I do think Jane (Shailene Woodsley) is the closest to how I pictures her. I’m probably going to finish it because I hate not finishing shows haha, but I prefer the book over the show.

That and chips and salsa make my self control go flying out the window at the speed of light. I could eat them all the time if that was an option.

    1. I justified it by saying it was my anniversary so it’s totally okay to have one (or two…) more glasses than I typically would lol. If you are interested, I recommend reading the book first! I prefer it over the show but just my opinion ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Oh I requested that book from the library, but it’s a popular one and I haven’t gotten it yet. Can’t wait to read it. And hands down cheese and crackers is the best snack, I usually like pairing it with wine though, hehe.

  3. I read the book years ago, and watched the series a few months ago and loved it! The cast was amazing – I love Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman!
    Enjoy your day ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. So far I think I like the book more, but that seems to usually happen to me since I can visualize everything how I see it so the movie/show doesn’t always match that. Reese Witherspoon is one of my favorite actresses, she doesn’t age!
Thank you, Erinn. Have a wonderful Wednesday ๐Ÿ™‚
