Happy Saturday! What are your plans for the day? Alex and I have some more birthday celebrations on the agenda. Have a great day 🙂
After going to New York City and being up waaaay to late Thursday night, waking up was HARD yesterday. I was not in the mood to get up when my alarm went off but work was calling my name. I made oatmeal but took it to the office since I was running late.
Work was interesting. We had some German visitors seeing the facility so everyone was one their A game. For my afternoon snack, I had a peach Greek yogurt. Oikos triple zero is the best Greek yogurt I’ve tried. After work, I headed to the grocery store to pick up a few items before going home.
After I got home I quickly changed and headed out for a 4 mile run. For some reason, my body just felt off. I got it done though and had some fartlek intervals thrown into the miles.
Once I was showered it was time for more baking! I may have mentioned this before but Alex is a twin so I offered to bake the birthday cake for the family party. I’ve never made a cake from scratch before but it was so easy! The smell was amazing and the batter tasted good so it means the cake will taste good right??
While the cakes were baking, I made some brown rice. Dinner was burrito bowls and they hit the spot! In mine was the rice, southwest chicken from the crockpot, lettuce, cheese, a little sour cream and lots of salsa.
Once dinner was cleaned up, Alex and I got settled on the couch to watch a movie. When Alex got home from work he told me he was in the mood to watch a kids movie. I obviously agreed to that! We settled on Sing! and I thought it was so cute. The music in it was really good and some parts were really funny. After the movie ended, I wrapped the cakes up and headed to bed.
Question of the day: Do you typically workout on Fridays? I usually don’t and don’t know how I feel about it.
