Happy Saturday friends! Do you have anything fun planned for your day? Aside from a long run I have nothing on the agenda but I’m sure that will change. Have a great day 🙂
My alarm went off and I was already counting down the minutes until 4pm. I felt like I slept amazing since I didn’t wake up at all so I think my alarm went off during the wrong part of my sleep cycle because I was so groggy. I eventually got up but being lazy in bed made me a little rushed for my day. For breakfast, I only had to time quickly scramble an egg and eat it before heading out the door. I brought a piece of pumpkin bread with me to enjoy but a coworker brought donuts in…so I snacked on that instead. A boring old glazed donut hit the spot!
Work went by pretty quickly. I got a lot done and am hoping to work on a project next weekend with minimal interruptions because of the holiday. After work, I ran to the grocery store to get what we need for the week. I’m glad I went because I have a feeling it’ll get crowded this weekend with everyone getting their Thanksgiving items.
Once I unpacked the groceries, and got hungry. Alex got home when I was finishing up so we chatted over chips and salsa. I could seriously eat them for an entire day and not be full.
For dinner, I heated up leftover rice and chicken fingers from earlier in the week. Sadly the chicken was a little dry after being reheated so I think they would be better suited in pasta with sauce to add some moisture. Lesson learned though! I dipped mine in barbecue sauce and Frank’s hot sauce.
After dinner I got comfy on the couch and read more of my book. I’m liking it so far and am curious what ends up happening. I’m about 1/3 or maybe a little more of the way through and will definitely share my thoughts once it’s completed! While I read, I sipped on some seltzer. If you are a seltzer dan then you have to look if your local grocery store sells Vintage. It’s the best that I have tried and there is no syrupy taste of the flavors.
One of Alex’s friends came over so we hung out with him for a bit. When he left we headed to bed
Question of the day: What’s your favorite type of donut?
