Happy Sunday! How is your weekend thus far? I hope it’s a good one. Have a great day 🙂
Saturday was going to be cold. Below zero wind chill all day cold. There was no way I was going to run in that so I happily laid in bed instead of going on my run. I showered and got dressed for the day before grabbing breakfast. I was thinking of what I wanted and a cinnamon roll sounded good. Luckily there were some that I had froze so I put them in the oven and made some scrambled eggs too. At least part of breakfast was healthy 🙂
I had some returns to do and I wanted to look for shoes at DSW so Alex and I headed out to the store for some shoes and other errands. We were some of the crazy people who decided leaving the house was a good idea. It took a little longer than expected so suddenly it was 1:45 and we hadn’t had lunch so we stopped at our favorite diner for grilled cheeses.
To warm up I sipped on tea with just a splash of half and half in it. I took my mug and got comfy on the couch to read. I’m really enjoying “Commonwealth”. Ann Patchett tells the story of two families who are torn apart and mended when the the husband and wife in separate marriages kiss and end up together. It’s told over a few decades. Each chapter is long and focuses on a certain point in the following decades with everything that happens.
I think I was reading too hard and not paying attention to a certain boy because I looked up to see him getting ready to “leave” in my winter coat…
For dinner, we tried Blue Apron. The first meal was calzones and they were delicious! Alex and I both kept commenting on how good they were while we ate them. After putting leftovers away, I go on the couch to read. I ended up finishing the book. I really enjoyed it! If you like books told about different characters and over a period of time then you should check it out. The novel was fairly short and a quick read. By the time I finished, I was ready for bed and I fell asleep so soon after I pulled the covers up.
Question of the day: What did you have for dinner last night?
