Sunday In Pictures Vol. 16

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Can you believe that January ends this week? That is crazy to me. Have a great day 🙂

Waffles and bacon to start the day! Plus milk and tea. Am I the only one who has two drinks with breakfast?

Finished A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams and I think you should all read it. I loved it.

Adapted this recipe for oatmeal muffins to have with breakfast. They smelled delicious so we shall see how they taste.

A ham sandwich plus a small handful of chips and salsa that I ate while deciding what to have for lunch.

Chatted with my sister while folding laundry! She’s 2 years younger than me and leaves for study abroad in Australia on Wednesday so it was nice to catch up before she goes.

Started a new book that I’ve heard great things about. I can’t wait to see what happens.

Alex and I started our rainy day movie marathon off by watching Batman Begins! I had never seen it but it’s so good. Also it was filmed in Chicago so I loved seeing familiar sites throughout it.

When the first movie ended, I made chili for dinner! I tried brown rice pasta for the first time and it was pretty good.

We ended the night with Toy Story 2. Fun fact I own all three of them on Blu-Ray/DVD and already told Alex we will be seeing the fourth in theaters in 2019.

Question of the day: What’s the highlight from your weekend?

  1. Yes to the two drinks. Usually it’s coffee and water or coffee and milk for me. I can’t even remember Toy Story 2! Toy Story 3 is one of my favorites, but it might be time to watch 1 and 2 again to get ready for 4.

    1. They were good! I think I’d add a little more blueberries since the one I ate this morning had two in it while Alex’s was absolutely loaded with them.
That’s so fun! The weather needs to warm up so we can take a trip to hike.

  2. Looooove toy story!! And I frequently have more than one drink for breakfast. At home it’s coffee, lemon water, and sometimes bone broth. If I’m out for brunch, coffee, mimosa, water, maybe another mimosa haha

  3. I went and read a blurb about The Breakdown and it looks fantastic! I’m going to look for it next time I’m at the bookstore. And I’m also a two drinks with breakfast person! Usually I’ll have a big glass of lemon water and a cup of coffee or tea.
