Happy Sunday! How are you doing? I’m doing pretty good. Yesterday’s weather was incredibly tame compared to Friday which was nice. I did a pretty big think which I’m super excited about too. But we’ll have to back up a bit before we get to that. Have a great day 🙂
I set my alarm for grey and early at 6 am to get ready for my run. 8 miles at alternating paces to kick off the day. I finished before 8 am which felt fantastic too. When I got home I did a quick circuit workout. Once that was all done, I proceeded to
lay on the ground stretch and foam roll.
After a hot shower, I got dressed and made scrambled eggs. I’m all about protein post workout and eggs are delicious with lots of hot sauce on them. Bonus points if it’s Franks hot sauce. Then it was off the the grocery store. I think because of the storm Friday, people went out Thursday to get their food. Yay for less crowded stores!
I got home and then unloaded the groceries before just hanging out a while. Alex and I had a few errands that we had to do so we went to tackle those. Alex’s favorite takeout place. So naturally that’s where we ended up for a late lunch. I won’t complain though! It’s all about balance so I ate my unhealthy sandwich happily. I got the sanchez which is breaded chicken, french fries, mozzarella stick and extra sanchez sauce. So good!! Once our bellies were full we headed to test drive a car for me! I ended up really liking it and ordered it through my company when we got home. Now I just have to patiently wait 4-8 weeks for it….help.
When we got home I tried to read my latest book, The Summer Before the War by Helen Simonson. But then I watched an episode of The Office and just chatted with Alex. It happens sometimes. Somehow we ended up showing each other memes and dog videos on Instagram. A quality way to spend the afternoon my friends.
Since we were pretty full from lunch, neither of us wanted our original dinner plan for enchiladas. So we ended up ordering sushi instead! I had two pieces of Alex’s spicy maki combo and then my avocado and cucumber roll. Plus the miso soup and salad that came with Alex’s combo. Then we cuddled up in front of the fire to watch Netflix before heading to bed.
Question of the day: What’s your favorite sushi?
