Sunday In Pictures, Weekend

Sunday In Pictures Vol. 21

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Did you watch the Oscars last night? I watched a little of the red carpet coverage on E! and was disappointed. The dresses weren’t very good in my opinion and they had minimal interviews. I watched a small part of the show and I have to say the performance of “This Is Me” by Keala Settle had some tears in my eyes. I can’t believe the song didn’t win! Anyways, today I’m sharing all about my Sunday through pictures. Have a great day 🙂

It had been a hot second since I had French toast so that changed yesterday. French toast and bacon for breakfast.

I settled on the couch to read more before the laundry was done.

Organizing under the sink in the bathroom felt amazing since it was driving my nuts. Organized spaces make me feel like everything in my life is organized.

A Jimmy John’s inspired unwich for lunch with ham, cheese, yellow mustard and romaine lettuce plus half an orange pepper and hummus on the side.

The other book didn’t grab my attention after 75 pages so I decided to call it quits and picked up the next one in my stack. Erinn posted a review of Nora Robert’s Come Sundown and it looked like a great read.

I got hungry while packing lunch so I snacked on the other half of the pepper before reading more.

For dinner, I tried making enchiladas for the first time. So easy! Now I just need to perfect my recipe and perfect how to not have it fall apart between the pan and the plate.

Wine, a fire (not pictured), game night and Alex is the perfect end to a Sunday. Plus I beat him in Rummikub 😉

Question of the day: What’s the highlight from your weekend?

  1. Those enchiladas look great!!! Post your recipe once you’re ready so I can try it!!!

I need to do bathroom organization quite badly- I guess one of my weekend highlights was organizing the pantry and spice cabinets! I also rented Murder on the Orient Express and it was really good!

    1. I will! It was my first time so I need to work on making it spicier next time!

Ugh that’s next on my to do list for organization. Jealous you got it done! I read the book but haven’t seen the movie. I really want to though!

  2. I’m glad you could stop your book… I’ll for some reason force myself to get through even a bad one!
Hope your Monday is off to a good start!

  3. I am the same way about organization! I have been so busy with work and training the last few weeks that I feel like half the things I look for aren’t where they should be. SO ANNOYING.

    1. Of course! I’m enjoying the book so far and can’t wait to see how it all plays out. Thanks for reviewing it 🙂
It’s a really fun game. I think it was $15 at Target so not expensive at all! Definitely work checking out.

  4. Sounds like a nice, relaxing day. I have had the best look keeping enchiladas together when I let them sit for about 10ish minutes before cutting and plating. Waiting is always such a bummer though.

  5. that looks like a yummy Sunday! I love Sabra hummus, but I tend to stick with original. I like the other flavors but find I get bored with it before I finish the container. We love Rumikub too. I have Uno Rummy-Up which is a simliar game with an UNO twist, not sure if they even make that game anymore. I’m with you on not reading a book that doesn’t hold your attention. I tell my sons to give it 2-3 chapters then give up if you don’t like it. Not worth forcing myself to read something I don’t like

    1. It was delicious! I have been eating Sabra’s spicy hummus for months and don’t see myself getting sick of it anytime soon. I’ll definitely have to look for that game! We’re always on the lookout for good games that we can play with just two people. It’s really not worth it. Like my grandma told me, life is too short to read a bad book.

  6. we watched a couple hours of the Oscars before calling it a night. I love a lowkey game at home, it is such a nice way to enjoy time together. I’m thinking about picking up a puzzle for us to do together on a rainy/snowy day. 🙂

    1. I wasn’t too wowed by the little part of the show that I saw. Game nights are so much fun! Puzzles are awesome because you can leave it out for a while until you finish. Then you can pick at it little by little.

  7. I never have the patience to watch award shows but I usually watch the red carpet beforehand. I missed it last night though:(
That sounds like a perfect Sunday night to me!

    1. I’m not sure what channel you watch for the red carpet but E! had awful coverage. They barely showed anyone! I honestly only watched the ceremony to see that performance. It was chance that I stumbled on it too.
It was a pretty good Sunday 🙂

  8. Looks like a good Sunday! I love the feeling of having things organized. Even though it was a pain to clean out my fridge and freezer this weekend, it feels good now that its done.
