When Online Shopping Goes Right

Hi friends! I’ll be honest, I’m a little upset right now. I went through half of yesterday thinking that it was Thursday so today would be Friday. So realizing my mistake was a little sad haha. But I’ll put a smile on and fake it until I make it! Have a great day πŸ™‚

I woke up on the best side of the bed yesterday. I was up and ready to go when my alarm went off. Mornings like that are honestly my favorite. Plus it was above freezing when I checked the weather so that just put me in the best mood. Naturally I ate the same breakfast I’ve been eating for months – scrambled eggs and an oatmeal muffin.

At work, I started my latest book and I really think it’ll be a good one!Β Most WantedΒ by Lisa Scottoline is the story of a couple who had trouble conceiving. Marcus and Christine end up using a sperm donor to have a baby. One day they see a serial killer get arrested on tv and Christine is convinced that it is their sperm donor. I think that the story will be both creepy and a little emotional in a good way.

After work, I ran a few errands before coming home. When I got home I saw a package on my doorstep from an order I placed on Macy’s. Do you guys get a little nervous with online shopping? I never know how the stuff will feel or look like in person/on my body. I ordered four pairs of jeans, two dresses and a skirt. Unfortunately the dresses didn’t work but the skirt and two pairs of the jeans did, one from Calvin Klein and the other from Lucky.

For dinner, we reheated the lentil sloppy Joe’s from Monday night. I ended up adding a little more paprika, chili powder, cumin and red pepper flakes to add some extra spice. Personally I liked this way better but Alex couldn’t tell a difference lol. To complete the meal, we added roasted potatoes and some green beans to our plates.

Once dinner was all cleaned up, we hung out on the couch and watch a little bit of Billions. When we turned the episode off, I worked on this post. I was going to read but never ended up opening my book. Alex suggested watching an episode of The Office so I happily agreed and proceeded to fall asleep lol. When the episode ended I headed off to get ready for bed and fell back asleep easily.

Question of the day: What’s your favorite place to online shop?

  1. I struggle with online shopping too. I tend to stick with shops like LOFT or Old Navy that I’m pretty confident in the sizing.

  2. I too love days when you feel awake and refreshed in the morning. it just sets the day on the right tone. But, hate when I feel like it’s one day and it’s not.at least you didn’t feel like yesterday was Friday? Old Navy is one of the only places I order on-line. I love the fit of their jeans. Before Christmas I ordered a few long sleeve shirts off Amazon, they are trying to build thier clothing section. I have got the boys things on there too.

    1. Oh that’s very true. It would be hard to get through work today if I thought yesterday was Friday. I’ve seen a few things about Amazons clothing. I’m just nervous I’ll buy something and it won’t fit.

  3. I love when online shopping works out! I haven’t really online shopped recently, but Nordstrom has been my go-to for years because the returns are so easy.

    1. Nordstrom has an amazing return policy. I get scared ordering from them since the closest one to me is about 45 minutes away so it’s a bit of a drive. Last time I tried mailing returns back they got lost and it was nerve wracking to get refunded for the items!

  4. I really only buy things on amazon. Mainly, I buy anti-aging face cream πŸ™‚ Online clothing shopping never works, because I NEED to try clothes on before I buy them. How else will I know how they feel? Also, my derriΓ¨re and I don’t trust ever oscillating sizings…i.e. I am 8 in one brand and a 4 in another? A small here and a medium there? You wrote a post about this issue, which I appreciated.

    1. Aw I’m so glad to hear you appreciated that post! I knew there was no way that I was the only one who had to deal with sizing in different brands. Once I know the sizing and feel of a certain brand, I’m much more likely to order online.

  5. The book you’re reading sounds so fascinating! I want to hear more about it!! I’m so glad your online shopping went well! That’s the best! Your dinner looks so good and made me crave sloppy joes! I just fell asleep on the couch last night after telling Jimmy I was fine to stay up, LOL. The struggle is real sometimes πŸ™‚
