Sunday In Pictures Vol. 26

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was a mix of fun and some housekeeping that had to get done. It was a little chilly but it looks like the temperatures will warm up as the week goes on so I can’t complain about that! Although I will complain that it’s a 70% chance of rain during my half marathon but I’ll spare you a rant. I hope you have a great day πŸ™‚

Mom, Dad and Bailey sized pancakes to start the morning.

We took Bailey to Alex’s parents house to run around in the backyard and play with his parents dogs again. She did much better! Still a little apprehensive at first but after Bailey took a sniff she realized she had already met the dogs and started running around them.

Clearly I needed to clean out my car… This doesn’t include the random papers that were in it either.

Lunch was a turkey and ham lettuce wrap, half a red pepper, pretzels and hummus.

We’re a little unsure of the vacuum right now so we hid under the table and chairs.

Starting my new book that Alex recommended.Β The FountainheadΒ by Ayn Rand is one of his favorites so he asked me to read it.

For a quick afternoon snack I peeled two clementines to eat while I read.

I ate my salad while dinner cooked.

Sundays are made for homemade pizzas.

Alex and I watched Good Morning, Vietnam. By watched I mean we started and got about 25 minutes into the movie since we kept having to pause it.

A slice of leftover no bake cheesecake.

Question of the day: What’s the highlight from your weekend?

  1. Dogs and vacuum cleaners always seem to have a tough relationship! πŸ™‚
Glad you had a good weekend. I hope the rainy forecast gets better for your race.

  2. Your three plates of pancakes… SO cute! Your lunch seriously looks bomb. I need to make that! It seems so simple yet tasty. I hope Bailey adjusts to the vacuum! Some of my clients dogs have been afraid of the vacuum by got over it, which is good! Mavis has the opposite problem… she like follows me while I vacuum because it’s so interesting to her LOL. I’m going to check out the link to that book! You’re always reading something good!

    1. Alex was adorable with the pancakes haha. Seriously the best and easiest lunch ever! Lettuce instead of bread makes it taste so much fresher and I love it. Plus I still get a little bit of carbs from pretzels to help fill me up. I think she’ll eventually follow us around but it was a little scary for the first time hahah. Mavis following you around sounds adorable! Definitely check it out! I’m only about 60-75 pages in and the book is HUGE (at least 575) but so far I’m enjoying it!

  3. Oh my goodness I love the mommy, daddy, and baby pancakes!!!! I haven’t fed pancakes to my dogs yet but they would be all over it especially with some PB on top!

    1. We ended up ripping the pancake up into pieces that were about the size of her food! If we added pb we would probably have to always feed her pancakes and pb lol. Definitely try it for your dogs πŸ™‚

    1. Bailey honestly has barked twice since we got her. It’s the strangest thing! It’s almost like she hasn’t realized she can bark haha. But I totally get why it would be better to have a dog hide than bark the entire time.

  4. Sounds like a fun weekend! I love the Bailey sized pancake – too cute. πŸ™‚ It’s supposed to get warmer near me as the week goes on too, but there is a chance of rain all weekend. Sigh. We just can’t win.

    1. It was a really good weekend πŸ™‚ Alex was the mastermind behind it and it was so cute! Friday and Saturday are supposed to be high 70s/80 and then it’s back to 50s on Sunday with rain. We really can’t win Lauren.
