Hi everyone! We’re one day away from Friday and I’m excited because the weather is going to be in the high 60s today and high 70s for Friday and Saturday. That is definitely putting a smile on my face and I can’t wait to soak up sunshine. That’s not the only thing making me smile today though. I got something super exciting yesterday that I worked hard for and waiting oh so impatiently for the past 6 weeks. Have a great day 🙂
Wednesday started out with taking Bailey out while Alex showered. Then we switched so I could get ready for the day. While Alex was walking her outside I started on breakfast for us. Since I only like going to the grocery store once a week, I had peanut butter chia seed toast with my eggs. I even got Alex on the chia seed toast bandwagon. Well he tried it Tuesday morning then said he didn’t even taste the difference so I added them yesterday. Regardless it’s a win in my book 😉
Alex’s meeting in the city ended up getting canceled so he decided to just work from home. Since I didn’t bring my lunch to work thinking I needed lunch time duty I got to see my favorite pup and guy during lunch. That is a pretty good midday pick me up and definitely put a smile on my face.
After work, Alex drove to the office to pick me up. Then we drove to the car dealership to get my car. I ordered it at the very end of February once my loans were paid off and I was very impatiently waiting to pick it up. The day was finally there! I love it so much and am happy it’s finally mine.
Alex needed to grab something from his parents house so we decided to bring Bailey over to run around. She had a crazy amount of energy yesterday. It was like someone slipped coffee into her bowl instead of water. She ran around like a crazy person and did so well with his parents dogs too. After chatting with his mom for a bit, we headed home.
We were going to have leftovers for dinner but we didn’t have as much as we thought. Talk about a dinner fail. At that point it was getting late so Alex just called in for takeout. I got a cheesesteak with ketchup and hot sauce which really hit the spot. It wasn’t the dinner we had planned but sometimes you just have to roll with the punches and not stress. We were both kind of pooped so we turned on an episode of Billions and crashed once it was over.
Question of the day: What’s one thing making you smile today?
