Running, Sunday In Pictures

Sunday In Pictures Vol. 27

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Spring arrived on Friday and Saturday and we were back to winter like weather on Sunday. Oh well though, can’t do much about that. Now that the half is over, it’s going to feel weird not running tonight after work. But my legs will really appreciate it. They are SORE today. Have a great day 🙂

Bailey discovered the other dog we own. You know, the one that “steals” her toys and lives in the reflection of our fireplace and sliding glass door. She was not having it yesterday while I ate breakfast.

13.1 (or according to my watch 13.32) miles later – half marathon complete!! I’ll have a race recap up later this week once the pictures are up online.

After getting home to shower, it was off to the airport to pick Alex up. On the drive I had a peanut butter sandwich and the bag of chips that I got at the race. The pretzel I ate right after finishing wasn’t close to enough to refuel me but it was all I could stomach for a while.

He’s back!! Alex was at his brother’s bachelor party in Florida since Thursday and I was beyond ready to have him home.

Bailey doesn’t understand the importance of foam rolling yet.

I earned this Miller.

For dinner we ordered pizza since neither of us were in the mood to cook. Margherita and buffalo chicken pizza made it onto my plate and were amazing.

We ended the night watching Despicable Me 3.

Question of the day: What was the highlight of your weekend?

  1. Great job on your race!! I can’t believe the race was a whole 0.2 miles longer than it should’ve been! That’s one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to races 😉
Glad you had a good weekend!

    1. It was super annoying! I was speaking with a coworker about it and he said he thought that it was the course and not me just somehow running an extremely long race.

Hope you had a great weekend 🙂

  2. congrats on your race, we had spring this weekend too, but it’s gone now. I’m watching the temperatures drop instead of rise today. I’d say that Bailey understands foam rolling…. you are on the ground doing something so therefor you must want to play with me. Yep sounds about right in puppyland.

hope you have a great day today and you aren’t too sore, enjoy your Monday

    1. Thanks! The temperatures dropped yesterday and I hate when that happens. Clearly she understands foam rolling then. I’m just surprised she didn’t try to get the roller once I started using it.

Thank you. Have a great day and I hope you stay warm 🙂

    1. I think cheese & crackers and chips & salsa are snacks I can always eat without getting sick of them. I thought the Miller (and wine that I had with dinner 😉 were well deserved so I’m glad you agree!

  3. Congrats on your half marathon, that’s awesome! Way to go!! Also, that is hilarious that Bailey did not like her reflection! Puppies are the funniest. She was adorable in that picture with the foam rolling as well. Too cute!

    1. Thanks girl! It’s so funny because she only gets jealous of her reflection if she has a toy in her mouth. Which is ridiculous because if Bailey has the toy then the “other dog” can’t have it. You’re right – puppies are hysterical!

      1. Oh and I meant to tell you–this weekend, I saw that Oxi Clean bottle on TV that you designed! I got super excited and pointed out to my husband that you designed it, lol. It was pretty cool to see a product and know that you packaged it!

  4. Congrats on your race finish! That’s a huge accomplishment! I’m pumped to read the recap 🙂

LOL to Bailey discovering her reflection! Lola is 12 and still “discovers” her reflection in our stove from time to time and it cracks me up!!

    1. Thanks Allie! I was pretty happy to cross the finish line 🙂

It’s the funniest thing! Bailey only gets jealous if she spies the toy that is currently in her mouth in the reflection. Then she goes on the defense lol. Dogs do the silliest things!
