Weekly Obsessions

Weekly Obsessions XIII

Happy Friday! I’m pretty ecstatic for the weekend because it’s supposed to be in the 60s both days so you can’t beat that weather for April. Alex and I don’t have anything major planned but I think it will be a fun weekend nonetheless. Have a great day πŸ™‚

Hilarious Article

I don’t remember where I came across this Buzzfeed article but I stumbled upon it and it cracked me up. It’s 21 stories from Tumblr that had me laughing the entire time. Each of the stories is so funny. If you want a good laugh to kick off your day you should read this article.

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

When I say I’ve had one of these every night I’m not kidding. I have never baked with bananas before but Alex requested this recipe that his mom used to make. I took a picture of the recipe when we were at his parents last week and made them Sunday. Holy moly…these are AMAZING!! I’m kicking myself for not taking pictures while baking them so I could share the recipe with y’all. Guess this means I have to bake them again πŸ˜‰

Zumbo’s Just Desserts

This is a Netflix show that I stumbled upon and have been loving! I started it last week and am only 2 episodes away from finishing it. It’s an Australian baking competition that started with 12 contestants. Each contestant must make a dessert based on the day’s theme. There is a Dessert of the Day winner and then the two lowest for the day. The two lowest have to compete is what is called the Zumbo Challenge where they have to replicate a dessert that was created by Adriano Zumbo. It’s so much fun to watch and I always want to create some amazing dessert after each episode.

Salsa Verde

I originally bought this jar of salsa for the salsa verde honey lime chicken that I made a few weeks back for dinner. I still had salsa left so I kept dipping chips into it. Why I don’t buy salsa verde more is beyond me. It’s delicious!! I keep finding reasons to use it haha. Salsa verde is usually something I only have a restaurants but now I think it may become a staple in the fridge.

Question of the day: What’s one thing you’ve been obsessed with this week?

  1. Ohhhhh I’m such a sucker for banana–anything muffins! I love the chocolate chip ones though! SO delicious!!

Those types of weekends are the best in my opinion!! We’re the same–don’t have anything too crazy planned besides a little bit of work on Saturday and that’s it! YAY!!

I’ve been obsessed with my new shampoo/condition this week! HA! Random but it’s just been a game changer!

    Have a great day Maureen!!

    1. I’ve never been a banana person except in smoothies but these muffins are amazing. I seriously need to bake them again and share the recipe because it’s so darn easy!

Sometimes low key weekends are the best kind!

Finding a good shampoo/conditioner is a game changer! There’s nothing better.

Thanks for stopping by Chelsea! Have an awesome Friday πŸ™‚

  2. That baking show looks fun! I’ll have to watch it! I don’t have anything too exciting planned for the weekend and I’m pretty okay with it, too. I’m hoping to get some baking done, though! Have a great weekend!!

    1. Please watch it so I can chat with someone about it lol. Alex is not a fan of shows like this so it’s like talking to a brick wall when I finish an episode. I still love him though hehe. I love baking on the weekend! It’s so much fun.

Have a great day Emily πŸ™‚

  3. I’m obsessed with running and getting back to running. Right now I can do 3 minute intervals but can only run every other day. Rather than delay my rehab ONE day, I chose to wake up at 4:45 and drive to the gym just to get my run in and come right back home to be ready for my kid’s field trip. That’s obsessed.

  4. I must have that recipe! I could eat like 5 of those muffins right now πŸ˜‰
I’ve been loving anything salty lately….sour cream and onion chips especially!

    1. Girl they’re so good. I’m seriously kicking myself for not trusting the recipe so I could share it. Like I said, it means I have to make them again πŸ˜‰
Sour cream and onion chips are a guilty pleasure of mine! I love them!

    1. I will definitely share the recipe! I’m kicking myself for not taking pictures when I baked them last week. Since I had never baked with bananas I wasn’t sure how they would turn out. Don’t worry though, I’ll make them again soon πŸ™‚
