Running, Sunday In Pictures

Sunday In Pictures Vol. 27

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Spring arrived on Friday and Saturday and we were back to winter like weather on Sunday. Oh well though, can’t do much about that. Now that the half is over, it’s going to feel weird not running tonight after work. But my legs will really appreciate it. They are SORE today. Have a great day πŸ™‚

Bailey discovered the other dog we own. You know, the one that “steals” her toys and lives in the reflection of our fireplace and sliding glass door. She was not having it yesterday while I ate breakfast.

The Rutgers Unite Half Marathon starting line. We were off!

Rutgers Unite Half Marathon 2018 Finisher Picture

13.1 (or according to my watch 13.32) miles later – half marathon complete!! I’ll have a race recap up later this week once the pictures are up online.

After getting home to shower, it was off to the airport to pick Alex up. On the drive I had a peanut butter sandwich and the bag of chips that I got at the race. The pretzel I ate right after finishing wasn’t close to enough to refuel me but it was all I could stomach for a while.

He’s back!! Alex was at his brother’s bachelor party in Florida since Thursday and I was beyond ready to have him home.

Bailey doesn’t understand the importance of foam rolling yet.

An afternoon snack of cheese, pepperoni and crackers.

I earned this Miller.

For dinner we ordered pizza since neither of us were in the mood to cook. Margherita and buffalo chicken pizza made it onto my plate and were amazing.

We ended the night watching Despicable Me 3.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was a mix of fun and some housekeeping that had to get done. It was a little chilly but it looks like the temperatures will warm up as the week goes on so I can’t complain about that! Although I will complain that it’s a 70% chance of rain during my half marathon but I’ll spare you a rant. I hope you have a great day πŸ™‚

Mom, Dad and Bailey sized pancakes to start the morning.

We took Bailey to Alex’s parents house to run around in the backyard and play with his parents dogs again. She did much better! Still a little apprehensive at first but after Bailey took a sniff she realized she had already met the dogs and started running around them.

Clearly I needed to clean out my car… This doesn’t include the random papers that were in it either.

Lunch was a turkey and ham lettuce wrap, half a red pepper, pretzels and hummus.

We’re a little unsure of the vacuum right now so we hid under the table and chairs.

Starting my new book that Alex recommended.Β The FountainheadΒ by Ayn Rand is one of his favorites so he asked me to read it.

For a quick afternoon snack I peeled two clementines to eat while I read.

I ate my salad while dinner cooked.

Sundays are made for homemade pizzas.

Alex and I watched Good Morning, Vietnam. By watched I mean we started and got about 25 minutes into the movie since we kept having to pause it.

A slice of leftover no bake cheesecake.

Sunday In Pictures Vol. 25 – Easter 2018

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Easter. I didn’t mean to disappear for the weekend but Alex and I were a little busy… We got our puppy Bailey! She is a 14 week old black lab and the sweetest little pup around. This weekend was fun and a lot of learning for us. So with getting a new pup and figuring her out plus Easter blogging took a bit of a back seat. I’m back to normal posts this week though. Have a great day πŸ™‚

The Easter bunny stopped by our apartment and brought my favorite jelly beans.

When you’re on puppy duty but haven’t had breakfast, a mandarin orange makes the perfect snack.

Homemade cinnamon rolls for Easter breakfast. I used this recipe I found on Pinterest.

A morning walk near woods then ended with lots of ticks on her since we think she walked through a nest. Thank goodness the grocery store was open for an emergency stop.

Mac & Cheese

Mac and cheese for a quick lunch.

I was in charge of a chocolate dessert so I made a no bake chocolate cheesecake and topped it with homemade whipped cream.

The place settings at dinner were so nicely done. Can you tell which seat was for the kids by the chocolate bunnies? I definitely missed a picture of my dinner but I had spinach salad, ham, pineapple, scalloped potatoes, rolls, and green beans.

This was the first dessert plate – the cheesecake and a lemon tart from Trader Joe’s. I definitely went back for a piece of cake someone brought. My favorite dessert was the cheesecake though. It reminded me of the chocolate mousse one from Cheesecake Factory!

I’m so in love with my little fam ❀

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all had a good weekend. I’m checking in today feeling refreshed and relaxed. It’s crazy to me that it’s the last week of March already. The year is seriously flying by y’all. Have a great day πŸ™‚

A breakfast sandwich to start the morning. I switched it up and got a roll instead of a bagel but kept my classic bacon, egg and cheese with salt, pepper and hot sauce.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the grocery store wasn’t insane on a Sunday morning.

Started a new book from Alex’s mom.Β A Piece of the WorldΒ by Christina Baker Kline was one I hadn’t heard of until his mom mentioned it a few weeks ago.

Lunch was another lettuce wrap sandwich.

Another batch of oatmeal muffins to have with breakfast.

A spoon of peanut butter is a great afternoon snack.

A cocktail to start the evening. I had a business (vodka, cranberry juice, water and ice) nothing too crazy for a Sunday.

A Philly cheesesteak and fries for dinner followed by an episode of Billions.

Finished the book! It was a really good read and I also suggestΒ Orphan TrainΒ by her as well.

Sunday In Pictures Vol. 23

Happy Monday! I’m sorry to have disappeared over the weekend. I’ll have a recap of the bachelorette party up tomorrow. Yesterday was a pretty lazy day once I got home but it felt so good to relax on the couch with Alex. Have a great day πŸ™‚

I woke up early and got ready. No one else was up so I munched on a muffin and read a bit before people were up to clean.

We went to a buffet brunch and this was my first plate. A ham, green pepper and cheese omelette, bacon, fruit and home fries.

I was still hungry so I headed up for more. A piece of crumb cake and spinach topped with some Caesar salad.

Listened to I’d Be Jealous Too by Dustin Lynch a few too many times on the drive back home.

I did nothing except laundry and grocery shopping with Alex once I was home. Fast forward to dinner with half a slice of buffalo chicken and margherita pizza.

Cuddled up on the couch to watch tv before bed.
